Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on
26 August 2002 is an American musician and singer. The release of
"Ransom," his 2019 single, helped him to become a mainstream star.
This single was part of the mixtape he released in his debut "We Love You
Tecca" (2019), which reached number 4 on US Billboard 200. The mixtape
also included singles "Love Me", "Did It Again" and
"Did It Again". His debut studio album called"Virgo" (2020)
which debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. It also included the Billboard
Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Dolly" & "When You
Down". The second mixtape, We Love You Tecca 2, was released in August
2021 and included "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin
Anthony sharpe was the child of Jamaican immigrants. He was born on August 26,
2002, in Queens, New York City. Sharpe was raised in Springfield Gardens a
neighborhood of Queens which he later moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island.
Sharpe was a child with plans to be a basketball player. However, Sharpe
switched to music at age 12. Sharpe completed his studies at Lawrence High
School. Tecca at the age of nine at the time, was rapping along with his peers
with his Xbox to record. One of their diss tracks was posted to SoundCloud some
time ago, but has since been removed. At first, he didn't have plans to begin
an artistic career, but wanted to be an NBA star. But, during his middle school
years his interest in basketball faded and was contemplating taking music more
seriously. The first single he released, "Tectri", which was a hit in
early 2017 was made with the help of Lil Gummybear. Other tracks by Tecca
include "Callin" as well as "Tectri". One year later
Tecca's career started to grow with his hit single "Ransom" and was
first uploaded to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22 in
2019. The song reached number 4 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The song has been
a hit with more than 900 million Spotify plays and over 300,000,000 YouTube
views.
